Nate Boerkircher - Participates in snapBoerkircher (undisclosed) participated in one snap during Nebraska's game Saturday at Wisconsin.
ImpactBoerkircher will look to log his first reception since October, when he logged only one reception for seven yards. Unfortunately for the tight end, Thomas Fidone being Nebraska's primary option at that option significantly limits his potential upside.

Heinrich Haarberg - Does not feature against BadgersHaarberg (ankle) didn't play against Wisconsin on Saturday.
ImpactThe absence of Haarberg wasn't surprising, as he was not spotted taking first-team reps before Saturday's game against Wisconsin, and instead, it was Chubba Purdy who featured under center. Haarberg will try to return for the regular-season finale against Iowa next Friday.

Jackson Acker - Catches crucial TD passAcker tallied eight rushes for 32 yards and he caught his lone target for a 26-yard touchdown during Saturday's 24-17 overtime win versus Nebraska.
ImpactAcker caught just the second touchdown pass of his career, breaking free downfield on a wheel route for a 26-yard touchdown that put the Badgers on the board in the second quarter. The redshirt sophomore has seen the most significant usage of his career this season after previous No. 2 running back Chez Mellusi went down with a season-ending leg injury Week 4. Acker continued to do so by spelling junior running back Braelon Allen (22 carries, 62 yards, two touchdowns) during Saturday's comeback win. Acker should once again serve as Allen's understudy during this coming Saturday's regular-season finale against Minnesota.

Will Pauling - Leads receiving effort in comebackPauling recorded eight receptions (on 11 targets) for 79 yards to go along with an 11-yard carry during Saturday's 24-17 overtime victory against Nebraska.
ImpactPauling once again had to put the Badgers' passing game on his back, as he accounted for the majority of production from quarterback Tanner Mordecai (18-for-28 passing, 160 yards). The redshirt sophomore has been extremely effective at getting open over the middle of the field, yielding 64 receptions for 675 yards and three touchdowns. He also logged double-digit targets for the sixth time in the last seven games during Saturday's comeback win. However, he did appear to go down with a lower-leg injury during the second half that hampered him late in the game. Pauling's availability will be a crucial aspect to monitor heading into next week's regular-season finale against rival Minnesota.

Tanner Mordecai - Navigates comeback winMordecai completed 18 of 28 passes for 160 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 24-17 overtime victory over Nebraska. He also had nine rushes for 51 yards.
ImpactMordecai stepped up in a big way on senior night for the Badgers. The SMU transfer still appeared to be dealing with the lasting effects of his recent surgery, but he managed to effectively move the ball down the field after the Badgers fell down 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. Mordecai made up for his relative passing limitations by rushing for a season-high 51 yards. He also hit running back Jackson Acker on a wheel route for a crucial 26-yard touchdown pass to put the Badgers on the board in the second quarter. Mordecai still averaged a subpar 5.7 yards per attempt, and he didn't find much success when not targeting go-to slot receiver Will Pauling (eight catches, 11 targets, 79 yards). Pauling also appeared to fight through injury after going down with lower-leg issue in the second half. His potential absence would be a significant loss for the Badgers' passing attack heading into next week's regular-season finale at rival Minnesota.

Braelon Allen - Grinds out two TDsAllen accrued 22 carries for 62 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 24-17 overtime win against Nebraska.
ImpactAllen saw a full workload for the first time since suffering a lower-leg injury in the first half of the Week 10 loss to Ohio State. The junior running back, who has served as a bellcow back when fully healthy in the past, grinded out yards while logging over 20 carries for just the third time this season. This included two short-yardage touchdowns with a two-yard touchdown to put Wisconsin up 17-14 midway through the third quarter followed by a three-yard score where his offensive line helped push him into the end zone for the game-sealing TD in overtime. Allen was also called upon for a crucial fourth-down conversion just prior to his second score, showing his great importance to this offense's success. The Badgers' offense will likely need another vintage performance from Allen in order to pull out a road win during next week's regular-season finale at Minnesota.
