Losing grip on everyday role Grichuk is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees. Impact Grichuk will take a seat against a right-handed starting pitcher (Gerrit Cole) for the second time in as many days, an indication the Blue Jays no longer view him as an everyday player. With manager Charlie Montoyo becoming more comfortable of late in deploying George Springer in center field, Teoscar Hernandez, Lourdes Gurriel and Corey Dickerson are expected to fill out the two corner-outfield spots and designated hitter in most games against right-handed pitchers. Grichuk should still replace the lefty-hitting Dickerson when the Blue Jays face southpaws.
