News: Brand notched a double-double in the 76ers Game 6 victory over the Celtics on Wednesday, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Impact: Brand only managed one steal and one blocked shot in the game, but he was a physical presence on the defensive end, and played with a lot of emotion. He isn't much of a numbers producer anymore, but the veteran can still contribute.(RotoWire, )

News: Brand will continue to start at power forward for Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference semifinals against Boston, but he could be subbed out early, Calkins Newspapers reports. Impact: Sixers coach Doug Collins made the comment before Friday's Game 4, adding that he believed Brand's neck is "bothering him more than he's saying." Lavoy Allen has been the main beneficiary as he's averaged 23.4 minutes versus Brand's 15.9 in the first three tilts against the Celtics.(RotoWire, )

News: Brand (neck) will play Monday against the Celtics, DailyLocal.com reports. Impact: Brand, who is dealing with what is being called a strain of the third cervical on his left side, is admittedly sore, but he'll be out there for Monday's Game 2. "It's just the left side of (my) body, reaching up for rebounds and stuff," Brand said. "But I'll be fine shooting and I'll be fine rebounding and playing defense. As long as I can run and jump, I'll be fine. And I will play."(RotoWire, )

News: Brand (left cervical neck spasm) is expected to play Monday against the Celtics, according to the 76ers' official Twitter page. Impact: The same applies to Thaddeus Young (right ankle sprain), as the Sixers will try to even their series against Boston on Monday at one game apiece. Brand was limited to 15 minutes of playing time in Saturday's loss to the Celtics.(RotoWire, )
