Ben Wallace and Kirilenko earn Player of the Week honors

New York, NY (Sports Network) - of Detroit and of Utah were named Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, February 23 through Sunday, February 29. Wallace helped the to a 4-0 record last week by averaging 12.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.75 blocks and 2.0 steals per game. He recorded double-doubles in three of the four contests.

He scored 12 points, pulled down 13 rebounds and blocked six shots in a win over Philadelphia on February 23. Four days later, he collected 11 points, 15 boards, five blocks and two steals in a triumph over Atlanta. Wallace then completed his stellar week with a 13-point, 13-rebound effort against the on Sunday.

Kirilenko averaged 25.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.00 blocks and 1.67 steals per game last week, as the posted a 3-0 record.

He netted 27 points and handed out 10 assists in a victory over Seattle on February 24 and later capped his week by contributing 24 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Sacramento on February 27.
