Moves to IR Carolina placed Marshall on injured reserve Wednesday with a foot injury, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. Impact The injury spells a disappointing end to a quiet rookie season for Marshall, who caught only 17 passes for 138 yards and eventually lost the No. 3 receiver job to Brandon Zylstra. In his defense, Marshall is on the young side for a rookie, as he won't turn 22 years old until June. He also had the misfortune of spending his debut in one of the worst passing offenses in the league. Still, the tape Marshall put out is far from promising, especially with the Panthers facing an uncertain future at quarterback entering 2022.
