Deon Jackson - Returning in 2023Jackson signed his exclusive rights deal with the Colts on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 Houston reports.
ImpactJackson will return to the Colts on the league minimum salary in 2023. The 23-year-old running back rushed 68 times for 236 yards and one touchdown while catching 30 of 34 targets for 209 yards and one touchdown in 2022. Jackson will likely be limited to a depth role in 2023 unless injuries deplete the Colts' backfield depth again.

Jonathan Taylor - No decision on surgery yetTaylor (ankle) said Monday he will meet with doctors to decide about the possibility of undergoing surgery, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ImpactTaylor missed the final three games of the season due to a right high-ankle sprain, and it sounds as though a decision on whether or not the injury necessitates surgery hasn't yet been made. Through his 11 appearances in 2022, Taylor racked up 861 yards and four touchdowns on 192 carries, with another 28 catches (on 40 targets) for 143 yards. The running back's situation in Indianapolis could look very different to start the 2023 campaign, health not withstanding. With three seasons under his belt, Taylor is now looking ahead to the final year of his rookie deal.

Ka'imi Fairbairn - Extends perfection in finaleFairbairn made his lone field-goal attempt and all three extra-point kicks in Sunday's 32-31 win over Indianapolis in Week 18.
ImpactFairbairn had a strong season while kicking for one of the worst offenses in the league. He finished out the year by making all 31 kicks over the final 11 games and made all six tries from 50 and beyond. There will be a new coaching staff in 2023, but it shouldn't take much effort to see Fairbairn was not a problem for Houston in 2022. He enters the final year of his contract after successfully converting 29 of 31 field-goal tries.

Teagan Quitoriano - Opens eyes in finaleQuitoriano caught three of four targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 32-31 win over the Colts in Week 18.
ImpactQuitoriano used the last game of his rookie season to flash some of his athletic potential. Used primarily as a blocking tight end since being activated off injured reserve Week 9, the 2022 fifth-round pick broke out with two catches of more than 20 yards (22 and 52). The Texans have soured on Brevin Jordan, and the tight end position is wide open next season. However, Houston fired head coach Lovie Smith, so there will be a new coaching regime in place and anything is possible in 2023.
