Artturi Lehkonen - Dealing with neck injuryLehkonen's injury, which was previously just described as upper body, is a neck issue, coach Jared Bednar told Peter Baugh of The Athletic on Thursday.
ImpactThere's no timetable for Lehkonen's return, but he's on the long-term injured reserve list and consequently won't return until Dec. 5 versus Anaheim at the earliest. He has three goals and eight points in 12 contests this season. With Lehkonen unavailable, Tomas Tatar has seen his playing time inch upward over the last two contests.

Jack Ahcan - Recalled ThursdayAhcan was promoted from AHL Colorado on Thursday.
ImpactAhcan has a goal, six points and 16 PIM in 14 AHL contests this season. He's never played for the Avalanche, but the 26-year-old defenseman did score a goal in nine career games with Boston.

Jonathan Drouin - Makes cameo on top PP unitDrouin had one shot on goal, one blocked shot and two penalty minutes over 13:44 of ice time in Wednesday's 8-2 win over Anaheim.
ImpactWhile Drouin didn't factor into the scoring Wednesday, he's done enough to be rewarded with TOI on the top power play. He replaced Ryan Johansen on that unit in the third period, which head coach Jared Bednar talked about with Evan Rawal of Colorado Hockey Now. "I think he's a guy that can play in there," the coach said. "I feel like his game's ramping up a little bit here over the last couple games. Obviously, a great playmaker. (Johansen's) been doing a nice job in there, especially off the face-offs and distributing the puck, but it just depends on the ice-time. If I see a guy going, I'd like to try and reward them a little bit, so that has something to do with it as well." Drouin got off to a shaky start this season, bouncing around the lines and being healthy scratched a couple of times, but he's having a good week, including a goal in Monday's win over the Kraken.

Caleb Jones - Needed againJones had three shots on goal, two blocked shots and one hit over 13:25 of ice time in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Ducks.
ImpactJones was recalled from AHL Colorado for the second time within a week to fill in for an ailing Josh Manson (upper body). He's played the last two games, posting an assist, four shots, four hits and four blocks while getting TOI on the third pair. The 26-year-old entered the season with 217 games of NHL experience, so he could make frequent appearances for the Avalanche when injuries strike.

Radko Gudas - Adds assist in blowout lossGudas notched an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Avalanche.
ImpactGudas extended his point streak to three games (two goals, two helpers) when he set up a Sam Carrick tally in the first period. The hot stretch has Gudas up to six points through 16 contests overall. He's added 21 shots on net, 33 PIM, 38 blocked shots, 43 hits and a plus-8 rating. The physical production is as strong as ever, but the offense is unlikely to last long.

Brock McGinn - Picks up helper in debutMcGinn logged an assist in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Avalanche.
ImpactMcGinn missed the first 15 games of the season with a lower-body injury. The 29-year-old forward played on the fourth line Wednesday, recording 12:07 of ice time and adding a shot on goal. The Ducks have gotten healthier at forward over the last week, so McGinn may have to compete with Ross Johnston and Brett Leason to stay in the lineup regularly.

Jakob Silfverberg - Hands out assist WednesdaySilfverberg notched an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Avalanche.
ImpactSilfverberg had the secondary helper on Max Jones' third-period marker. This was Silfverberg's second assist in the last three games. The 33-year-old winger is up to five points, 18 shots on net, eight blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 16 appearances. He's played mostly in a third-line role, and two of his five points this year have come on the power play as he holds down a spot on the second unit.
