Kaapo Kakko - Scores ThursdayKakko scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 7-4 win over Montreal.
ImpactKakko put the finishing touch on the Rangers' offensive outburst Thursday, skating through the Habs' defense before beating Sam Montembeault with a writer to extend New York's lead to 7-3 midway through the third period. The 23-year-old Kakko now has points in three straight games and six points (four goals, two assists) in 13 contests since returning from a 21-game stint on IR. While he's been limited to primarily a third-line role, Kakko's demonstrated some chemistry with Will Cuylle and Jonny Brodzinski on the third line. Kakko's up to six goals and nine points through 33 games this season.

Will Cuylle - Goal, assist in victoryCuylle tallied a goal and an assist in Thursday's 7-4 win over Montreal.
ImpactCuylle put the Rangers ahead 2-1 midway through the second period, directing a Ryan Lindgren feed past Sam Montembeault, before adding an assist on Kaapo Kakko's goal in the third. It's the first career multi-point for the 22-year-old Cuylle. The rookie winger has points in three straight games, totaling two goals and two assists in that span. He's up to 10 goals and 18 points through 54 games this season while contributing a team-high 167 hits.

Artemi Panarin - Three assists in winPanarin picked up three assists in Thursday's 7-4 win over Montreal.
ImpactPanarin grabbed two assists in the second period, setting up Mika Zibanejad's short-handed goal and Chris Kreider's power-play tally, before adding a third helper on Vincent Trocheck's marker in the final frame. The 32-year-old Panarin has cooled off a bit by his standards of late -- he came into Thursday's matchup with just one point in his last three games and he's now gone four outings without a goal. Still, it's been a stellar campaign for Panarin, who now has 71 points (31 goals, 40 assists) through 54 games as he's well on-pace to pass the 90-point threshold for a third consecutive season.

Matt Rempe - Back with NHL clubRempe was called up from AHL Hartford on Friday.
ImpactRempe's promotion comes as Blake Wheeler (leg) suffered a seemingly serious injury against Montreal on Thursday. Even with his elevation to the main roster, the 21-year-old Rempe is far from a lock for the lineup. It figures to be a competition between Rempe, Alex Belzile and Adam Edstrom for a pair of fourth-line roster spots.
