Jokic posted 27.1 Ppg 13.8 Reb and 7.9 Ast and powered the Nuggets to the playoffs without his running mate Jamal Murray. Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid was believed to be the favorite to win MVP after posting 30.6 Ppg 11.7 Reb 4.2 Ast and became the first center since Shaq to win the scoring title.
