Matt Kemp (center field), Hanley Ramirez (shortstop) and Yasiel Puig (right field) returned to the Dodgers' lineup in the second matchup of their four-game series against Diamondbacks, a 9-3 win to put Dodgers on the brink of an Arizona-on-brink-of-NL-West?blockID=941113&feedID=3707" target="new">NL West title.
Ramirez and Kemp hadn't shared a starting lineup since July 21, when Kemp sprained his left ankle sliding into home.
Kemp, who went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI, has been out for almost two months rehabbing the ankle and dealing with a tight hamstring and was activated from the disabled list on Monday. He has played in just one game at the major league level since July 5.
Ramirez, who went 1-for-2 with three walks and three runs scored, has been recovering from two injections administered to relieve an inflamed nerve in his lower back. He has not played since last Thursday when he was removed from the game.
Before going 0-for-5 on Tuesday, Puig had been out of the lineup with hip soreness since Sunday.
Two other key outfielders for the Dodgers are still nursing injuries. Andre Ethier aggravated a lingering left ankle injury on Friday and hasn't played since. Carl Crawford has been out since leaving Saturday's game in the third inning with back soreness.
If the Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks once more time in the next two days, they will clinch the National League West.
