Isaiah McKenzie - Gets one carry in lossMcKenzie had one carry for seven yards but did not have a target in Sunday's loss to Cleveland. He also returned two kickoffs for a 19-yard average and four punts for a 9.5-yard av...
ImpactMcKenzie left briefly after being checked for a concussion. He played a season-high nine snaps on offense, but that usage isn't enough for viable fantasy value in most leagues outside of those that include return yards.

Andrew Ogletree - No targets despite startOgletree started at tight end but was not targeted in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.
ImpactOgletree started at tight end with Kylen Granson out with a concussion and Jelani Woods (hamstring) still on injured reserve. He played on 42 of the offense's 70 snaps and went out on just 17 routes. Mo Alie-Cox had the only reception among tight ends in the loss, as they were needed as blockers against Cleveland's strong pass rush. Ogletree could be more active in the passing game next week against New Orleans, but he could also get less playing time if Granson or Woods is able to return to action.

Will Mallory - Plays just nine snapsMallory did not have a reception on his lone target in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.
ImpactHe played nine snaps on offense as Drew Ogletree started at tight end with Kylen Granson out with a concussion and Jelani Woods (hamstring) still on injured reserve. Mo Alie-Cox had the only reception among tight ends in the loss, as they were needed as blockers against Cleveland's strong pass rush. Mallory is inactive most games and could return to the bench if either Granson or Woods is able to return next week.

Alec Pierce - Three receptions SundayPierce had three receptions for 53 yards on three targets in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.
ImpactPierce left last week's loss to Jacksonville with a right shoulder injury and was limited in practice all week, but he looked back to full strength Sunday. While his production was modest, it was good to see him set a season high in yardage and tie for receptions given Indy has had a meager deep passing attack. There's some hope he can build on this performance and become more of a target for quarterback Gardner Minshew.

Denzel Ward - Gets first pick of seasonWard recorded four solo tackles and an interception in Sunday's 39-38 win at Indianapolis.
ImpactProtecting a one-score lead in the middle of the third quarter, Ward was able to diagnose a Michael Pittman flag route and step in front of the pass for his first interception of the 2023 campaign. He figures to see a healthy dose of DK Metcalf (ribs/hip) if the latter is back in action when Cleveland travels to Seattle in Week 8.

Deshaun Watson - Team taking 'day-to-day' approachBrowns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Watson will undergo additional medical testing to ensure the quarterback isn't dealing with any further damage to the right rotat...
ImpactAfter missing two games over the past three weeks due to the shoulder injury, Watson practiced fully Friday and was given the green light to start in the Browns' Week 7 game against the Colts. However, Watson took just 12 snaps and completed one of five pass attempts for five yards and an interception before exiting in the first quarter and not returning to the eventual 39-38 win. Cleveland never officially ruled Watson out for the game after he passed all concussion testing, but Stefanski said at halftime that he wasn't willing to expose Watson to any further injury to his shoulder, resulting in PJ Walker finishing out the contest. Assuming Watson's upcoming tests reveal nothing concerning, the Browns presumably will continue to evaluate him in practice this week before deciding whether he's fit to return to the starting role Sunday in Seattle.
