The draft began just as expected, with Kentucky's Anthony Davis going No. 1 overall by the New Orleans Hornets.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Kentucky) is introduced as the No. 2 pick, selected by the Charlotte Bobcats, by NBA commissioner David Stern.

Bradley Beal (Florida) is introduced as the No. 3 overall pick, by the Washington Wizards, by NBA commissioner David Stern.
 

Dion Waiters (Syracuse) is introduced as the surprise No. 4 overall pick, taken by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Thomas Robinson of Kansas is being interviewed after being selected No. 5 overall by the Sacramento Kings.

UNC's Harrison Barnes greets teammate John Henson. Barnes went No. 7 to the Warriors while Henson went No. 14 to the Bucks. UNC's Kendall Marshall (No. 13) and Tyler Zeller (17) also went in the first round.
