When it comes to NBA record performances, few have more than The Big Dipper. So it comes as no surprise that Chamberlain has scored the most points in Madison Square Garden history. Chamberlain totaled 73 points while with the San Francisco Warriors in 1962. But that’s far from his only legendary performance at the Mecca of Basketball. Chamberlain owns six of the top 14 individual scoring nights in the Garden's history, going for 62, 59, 58 twice and 55 during his illustrious career.

One of the most underappreciated NBA legends, Elgin Baylor displayed his greatness during the 1960-‘61 season. The Lakers icon lit up the Knicks for the second most points at the Garden, finishing with 71 points and adding 25 rebounds for good measure. Baylor would go on to average 34.8 points, 19.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists that season.

The Black Mamba has always relished the bright lights of New York City. But in February 2009, Kobe authored his most mind-boggling scoring performance at the Garden. Bryant scored 61 points and shot 19 of 31 from the floor and hit all 20 of his free-throw attempts for the fourth-most prodigious offensive output at MSG.

The King of New York was beloved at the Garden -- and for good reason. King is on this list twice: scoring 60 on Christmas Day in 1984 to torch the Nets and then a few months later he dropped 55 on the same team. Despite his heroics in front of the home crowd, the Knicks lost both of those games. King led the league in scoring at 32.9 points, but New York finished 24-58 that season.

Always known for his penchant for points, Rick Barry announced his presence to the New York crowd early in his career. Barry dropped 57 points while with the San Francisco Warriors during his rookie season. He also made 21 of 22 free throws using his famous underhand technique.

Far from a household name now, Guerin will live in Madison Square Garden lore for his single-game performance in December 1959. Guerin scored 57 points on an incredible 18-of-21 shooting from the floor to score the most points by a Knick at MSG at that time.

His exploits at the Garden are the stuff of legend, and the battles between the Knicks and Bulls are unforgettable. But it's what he did during a game in late March of 1995 that will live on at the Mecca. Playing in his fifth game since coming back to the NBA after his brief baseball stint, Jordan electrified the crowd and reminded everyone that he had not lost a step, scoring 55 points during one of his many memorable MSG encounters.

One of the best young shooters in the game, Stephen Curry showed he has limitless range at the Garden on Wednesday. Curry knocked down 11 of 13 attempts from beyond the arc and finished with 54 points to dazzle the Big Apple crowd in a back-and-forth contest. The Knicks got the better of the Warriors, but Curry had everyone buzzing and wondering what will he do for an encore?
